Job site delivery in Johnston Ri.

Wednesday, August 5, 2009

This job site delivery was a nite mare ,dumpsters in the way, equipment in the way, cement islands everywhere and a dirt drive. This insurance  company would not let me take any pictures. One picture would have been nice, that would have told the story. The CASCADIA is very dirty but it got me in here, there is a long nose KW still trying to get to the dock.

Well, I am back, he dropped his trailer and I put the trailer to the dock. I told him he needed a CASCADIA and he agreed..

Till next time be safe. The CASCADIA is a remarkable piece of  equipment this is the truck of the future.

Mini Vacation to Appalachia

Sunday, August 2, 2009

My grand daughter, Kaleigh wanted the “whole” family to take vacation together. She put it all together last spring and the time came for us all to go. Five families all packed up and headed south.  God knew what he was doing when he made that country, beautiful mountains, streams, and we saw deer and a mother black bear and 4 cubs.  Gatlinburg was busy with tourists but we joined the crowds and went to Cades Cove, Aquarium, Dollywood and enjoyed lots of food.

The Cades Cove settlement was a place where over 300 people loved up in the mountains before the government bought the land in 1933 and moved them all out.  The settlement remains.  A little sad to think these self sustaining people once lived there and were made to leave their homes.  If you get a chance you all need to take a trip down there.  18 of my family stayed in a chalet up in the hills.  A beautiful place to be, we had a great time there but mostly we just enjoyed being with each other.

Well, time to go back to work… Til next time, be safe.
