California is a nice place to visit.

Saturday, January 9, 2010

Hi folks!
Yes, California is very nice this time of year, seventy four degrees when I left this morning. I sure hated to leave the nice weather but I have a load to deliver in Indiana. The CASCADIA did a great job pulling the mountains,I really wasnt surprised though. The DD15 is quite a power house, I will give details on m.p.g. when I get to Indiana.
Untill next time be safe.

Driving the west coast

Friday, January 8, 2010

Hi folks!
Well after ten years here I am back in California. Traffic is still bad , a lot of changes in the San Diego area I have noticed. It took me two hours to make sixty miles yesterday, but thats part of it. Hopefully I will get all loaded today and head back to Indiana.
Untill next time be safe.

A long way across Texas

Wednesday, January 6, 2010

Hi folks!
Well, I forget just how far it is across Texas, a long way. The weather has been great. I am in Arizona as of now. I should be in San Diego tonite, the CASCADIA is doing a great job. My speed is faster than I normaly run and I think my m.p.g. is going to be down. My m.p.g. is usually 7.2 to 7.4 so when I fuel today I will find out. I think my last trip to the west my wife was traveling with me. I used to run California about every week with hospital equp. from Batesville, IN.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr Its Cold

Sunday, January 3, 2010

Hi folks!
Well, I dont know what the temp. is or what it was when I left Indiana, but it was cold. When I got in New Years eve I parked at my sons house. I hadnt seen any weather reports. Little did I know the bottom was going to drop. So on Saturday January 2, I had to go pick my load up. I guess it was around 6 a.m. I told my wife I might be in trouble I didnt plug the CASCADIA in. It had to be around zero, I got in, hit the starter, no problem! The DD15 took off just like it was summer. It is nice to know I dont have to worry about the Cascadia not starting…a relief in this weather.

Untill next time be safe.

Starting the new year out

Friday, January 1, 2010

Hi folks!
Well I am starting the new year out on a positive note…
The Cascadia and I are heading to San Diego, CA. via Houston. I am anxious to see how the DD15 does running west on such a long hall. First time I have been to Ca. in 10 years. But I am feel safe and confident that the DD15 will perform as I expect. It feels good to not have to worry about performance or break down on such a long trip. I actually turned down the load twice but changed my mind having confidence in the
Cascadia.
Until next time…
Be safe
