Memorial Day…Indy 500.
Sunday, May 30, 2010Memorial day is Monday and traditionally, in years past, the “Indy 500″ was always run on Memorial day no matter what day of the week it was…but for the convenience of the public, it is now run on the Sunday before the holiday. It is an exciting event even if you do not attend the race itsself. Most people have their radios on and you get excited just hearing the roar on the radio…its for family and friends…its for displaying the flag…but most of all, it is honoring our men and women who “gave all”. They gave their lives for us, let us honor them.
Until next time be safe, and enjoy the weekend.
