On the Road with Dick McCorkle

Hi Folks!

I have been trying to visit truck stops, that I havent been in, to show the Cascadia., I made a stop at the Big Cabin, Oklahoma truck stop with a good turn out., I also visited the Petro at Carls Corner, Texas.  It was a bit chilly,  but still had a few drivers looking and all drivers received a “sliceoftruckerlife” pen and a card.  If you are in the Houston, Texas area this week- end look for the Cascadia. It’s the one with the “red, white and blue”…the one with the quiet engine, roomy interior and awesome mpg.  Iwill be at all the area truck stops Saturday and Sunday.  Hope to see you there.

Hi Folks!

Its always nice delivering or picking up any where in Texas,  the weather is usually nice.  In the Dallas area yesterday,  I enjoyed talking to several drivers.  They cant believe how quiet the Cascadia is or how much room there is inside.  I am at the Reliant Center in Houston,TX. today and having a good time talking to folks about the Cascadia.  The folks love my colors of the Cascadia even the visitors are coming by and I give them a pen and a smile, anyway.

Hi Folks!

Delivering and picking up in the Dallas, Texas area today. I will be at the Pilot in Lancaster, Texas later today 1/19/12 any drivers interestd in seeing the Cascadia stop by.  Loading trade shows I will be in Houston, Texas Friday afternoon at the Pilot. If you have time stop by for a look at the Cascadia. The weather is nice we can chat and look the Cascadia over.

Hi Folks!

I stopped to get fuel at the Flying J here in Birmingham I got so many questions about the Cascadia, I got my cards and pen out and gave  each driver one. Everyone loved the colors of the Cascadia and they can’t believe how quiet it is when you get inside and shut the door. I tell them there is enough room inside… you could hold a convention in there if you wanted to.  I do enjoy showing the Cascadia to folks and I believe they enjoy looking at the Cascadia, as well.

Hi Folks!

Boy, I was wishing I would get back to Indiana before the weather changed. So much for wishing,  but the Cascadia will handle the weather with no problem.  It was nice all day but its raining hard now,  and I think its snowing on the higher elevations . When  I get back to Indy,   I will be loading to Georgia,  the weather may change between now and then, but whatever the weather the Cascadia can handle anything.

Hi Folks!

Upon leaving Greensboro, NC.heading to South Hill, VA. to load for Winchester, VA. for delivery on Thursday morning. I had a good visit with Triad Freightliner of Greensboro. Meeting several techs in the service dept. and in the parts dept. Meeting several drivers in the lounge we talked about the Cascadia everyone likes the cascadia. The dealership is avery clean shop and the lounge is new with showers for drivers. I enjoyed my stay at the Triad shop.

Stopped by the Greensboro  ,NC  T/A Today and Showed the Cascadia there were several questions on the mpg. Several drivers got in and checked the room in the cascadia three women drivers liked the room inside. The T/A has just about every thing you need,a work out room, service. food everthing a driver needs.

Hi Folks!

Leaving home on New Years day was not easy,  but I had to deliver on Janurary 2.  On my way to Youngstown, Ohio,  the wind was very bad  but the Cascadia handled very well with no problem. After arriving at the store where I was to deliver on Monday,  I went to dinner and did some paper work,  then off to bed.  It was very comfortable in the Cascadia,  as I woke up and got dressed, I looked outside… there was snow on the hood of my truck and on the ground.   After I got empty,  I started to Grand Rapids, Michigan,  about 350 miles,  and it was windy and snow all the way.   Now,  the Cascadia was doing a great job,  as several trucks were blown off the road.  After loading in Grand Rapids,  I started to Kentucky. The weather kept getting better the further south I went.  After reloading in Bowling Green, Kentucky,  to  Indiana to deliver on Thursday morning,  the weather was great!  And on Friday,  it was 62 degrees.  I hope this is all the SNOW I see this winter.  I can dream, can’t I?
