Tire Sealants

I have found two tire sealants that interest me. The reason for this search, is the flat that I had last week on one of my wide base singles. The two products that seem to fit my needs are, TireSmart and Ride-On tire sealants. Both of these products make similar claims ( sealing punctures up to one quarter inch, hydrodynamic balancing and non corrosive). Have any of you had any experience with either of these products? If you have, I would find your input very useful in making my decision making process.

Thanks, Henry

Sorry Henry no help on the tire sealants but will be reading to see what is posted. I thought of at least 1000 more questions I want to ask you when you have time!

  2. Barry G. Says:

Hey Henry, Re: the tire sealant. They’ve been making that for motorcycles for years. I would say you would be OK with either brand. Usually someone “invents” a product and if it becomes successful, someone else “invents” a very similiar product. It sure is a pain in the A&& to get it in the tire, though. Need to be near an air dispenser. Do not let the bead separate from the rim when you install it. Have fun!

Thanks for the advice Barry. Right now I am leaning towards the sealant that Ride-On offers. I will let you know how the product performs for me.
