EXPEDITERS EXPO
Hello everyone,
I have just returned from the 10th annual Expediters Expo in Wilmington, OH. I had the opportunity to meet the promoter, Mr. Lawrence McCord. Congratulations on ten successful years!
I arrived on Thursday morning to clean the Cascadia and make other preparations for the show. Although I am not an expedited driver, I received warm greetings from those in attendance. A welcome dinner reception was held that evening to celebrate the ten year anniversary. After breakfast on Friday morning, I was interviewed “live” by Dave Nemo on SIRIUS XM SATELLITE RADIO. Later that afternoon, I was asked by Heath Wood from MIDDLE, GA FREIGHTLINER, to assist Bob Caffee in presenting a “Preventative Maintenance Seminar”. The afternoon was spent showing the Cascadia to various drivers and attendees. Friday evening, I enjoyed dinner at Max and Ermas with a group of FED EX drivers. I really enjoyed learning about the expedite b

usiness. Saturday was met with rain on and off all day. I was parked outside of the convention center. To my surprise, the rain didn’t keep many away. I still had lots of people wanting to see the Cascadia. I was happy to speak with them and answer questions. I was parked across from the singer, Joey Holiday. He performed a show which allowed for much noise. Drivers really noticed the quietness inside the cab. Therefore, being parked in that specific location was a great benefit. In the evening, Jeff Jones allowed me to drive STOOPS 150 inch custom sleeper Cascadia. This truck offered all the amenities and comforts of home. I was invited to join the expedited drivers for a BBQ dinner in the parking lot. I felt quite a sense of community among these fine folks. Many of them brought food for the gathering. That evening we all enjoyed stories of the road, business talk and some great humor. Around 7pm Saturday evening, I left to head for home in

North Carolina.
I would like to thank Bob and Linda Caffee for arranging my appearance at this event. Flying solo, I much appreciated your friendship and assistance during my time at the show. I would like to congratulate Linda on her first radio interview. During the event, Linda also held her fist seminar on “networking”. Way to go Linda!
Thanks again to all… Be safe
Henry

Henry you were a sensation at the Expedite Truck show and to the attendees. I have had great feedback on you letting so many people get into your truck, close the door and see Joey Holiday’s lips moving but hear no sound. Without your help and support with my first radio interview I do not believe I would have been so relaxed and had so much fun talking about my workshop “Networking”. Bob and I both enjoyed having you at the show and getting to watch other peoples faces as they got a dose of your wisdom. Hope to heck we will all be able to do this next year.

Henry, I’m sorry I did not get outdoors in time to meet you at the Expo. But as I was leaving on Saturday I noticed your truck and was impressed. I spent most of my time indoors attending the seminars and learning as much as I could about the business. Even though times are tough, the tone of the Expo seemed very positive. Thanks for coming out and sharing your expertise.

Henry, I have really enjoyed both of our conversations. It was great to meet you at the Expedite Expo. You are an individual who thinks outside the box. Freightliner and Detroit Diesel are fortunate to have you as a spokesperson for their products.
The Cascadia and DD15 are both impressive. Keep up the good work and please stay in touch.
