Before participating in the "Slice of Life" program, Albert drove a 2001 Freightliner Century Class S/T™, and will use his Cascadia for general freight and a dry van trailer. Albert, who has been a trucker for 26 years, was recognized by Overdrive as its 2007 Trucker of the Year.

Hello everyone, I just finished my regular Charlotte NC to Laredo TX round trip. I broke two personal MPG records this week. My fuel mileage for the week was 8.173 (The old record was 8.01). I also set a new record for one leg of the trip of 8.41 ( The previous record was 8.351). The Cascadia and Detroit Diesel DD-15 never cease to amaze me. I think that my goal of 8.5 MPG is within reach.
