Back in Cali…

Monday, September 29, 2008

good morning all!! back out in southern cal unloading, just one of many. i’m real happy with this trip out. lets back up, first i loaded in pine bluff arkansas. it’s a lite load for a change only 25000 lbs, looking for better fuel mileage this time. heading west not a lot of wind and no weather to speak of. i set my cruise and just ride. i was not disappointed the fuel mileage was great!!! the truck right now has 16077 miles my over all mpg is 6.67 and this trip my mpg is 6.97!!! i’m sure it will only get better from here. as it stands right now i am very impressed with this set up, detroit and freightliner has done a very good job. not to shabby right out of the box. spencer and i are off on another adventure, you all be safe and i’ll check back later.

it’s thursday and i got my load delivered last nite. there was a little confusion over paper work, it seams that the driver that droped that load did not leave all the paper work b.o.l. ect. had to call the shipper to get new paper work faxed to me at the receivers thy almost refused the whole load!!! but we got it all handled and am here just around the corner from my delivery to pick up going back east.what a deal :) me and spencer doing are normal deal.

a new start

we have a new computer and ready to go. it’s wednesday afternoon in sunny southern california not to hot today really a pretty nice day. i got to drop my load at our drop yard out here since it does’nt deliver until friday. but i do have to deliver an other load tonite in exchange. they will have me a load in the a.m. headed back east. i’m still cant believe this truck and motor as a package. they did it right!!! i have had a couple of drivers asking about my truck today, along with an arizona dot officer asking me for my card, i thought at first he was joking but he was very serious about it. hopefully he just waves me on by next time :)
