“Oklahoma Truck Championship”

hello everyone, i was very fortunate to be involved in the Oklahoma Truck Championships this year. it was my first, a rookie if you will. i had a great time. my brother and his wife also came down from Kansas City to watch. as i sized up my competition i realized just what class of drivers i was dealing with. here i was competing with Oklahoma’s finest drivers our state has to offer what a humbling experience. even tho we were all competing there was still a since of sportsmanship and competitiveness that could not be measured. drivers helping and talking to each other about the course the test and the pre trip inspection. it was indeed a full 2 days of events. if you are wondering if i won sorry to say i did not. i don’t know my score as of yet, but when i do i will post it. i do know i made some rookie mistakes. however i did learn from them and now it’s personal, i know i can do better. but i have no excuses. i felt i had a strong written and pre trip but the course may have been a little intimidating. i was one of the drivers that got to go early in the day. looking back i wish i could have been later in the day, so i could watch and learn from the other drivers. but it is what it is. if i get the chance to do it again next year i know what to expect, plus i have a whole year to practice. i would like to take this time to thank everyone that volunteered and to those who supported me. with out all of you it would not be possible. until next time you all be safe!!
